NASN invites you to participate in a survey to better understand how COVID-19 has impacted health in schools, and the role school nurses are playing during this time. NASN hopes to use the information to better inform future policy as to the needs of schools related to infection control measures and health crises, as well as highlight the activities of school nurses. Please complete the survey by May 1, 2020.

Once you have collected your annual data, it is important to share your findings with your stakeholders (administrators, parents, staff, legislators, etc,). A variety of tools are available in the NASN library or you can develop your own report, one-pager, infographic, or presentation, etc.

Also, last week, there was a mistake in the Weekly Digest regarding NASN’s new platform for data collection. It will NOT be ready this year-but will be for next year.

For childcare centers that are open and operating in schools, the CDC has updated its guidance, effective April 16, 2020.

When schools reopen, the transition back will be challenging for everyone.
