Breaking new ground at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference®.
Dear Friend,
I want to share some important information in Alzheimer's disease and dementia research.
Today kicks off the Alzheimer's Association International Conference® 2024 (AAIC®) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the largest and most influential international conference on dementia science.
AAIC is where the world's leading scientists, clinical researchers, early career investigators, clinicians and the care research community share breaking research discoveries and clinical practice education. These findings will lead to improvements in diagnosis, risk reduction and treatments for Alzheimer's and other dementia. You will be able to attend either in-person in Philadelphia or online — and we're thrilled to allow our supporters access to groundbreaking research in Alzheimer's and dementia science, wherever they are.
We must continue our work together. Investing in research is the only way we can hope to find a cure for Alzheimer's. We have made incredible progress, but our work is not done. We won't rest until everyone living with dementia of any kind — at any stage — can get the treatment, care and support they need.
AAIC begins today and continues through August 1. I'm looking forward to discussing the latest research with my colleagues and learning how we can support the progress they're making. We're all looking forward to sharing updates with you.
Thank you so much,
Maria C. Carrillo, Ph.D.
Chief Science Officer and Medical Affairs Lead
P.S. This year, we are introducing AAIC for All, where clinicians and interested community members can learn about the latest research findings. AAIC for All is taking place both in person and online on August 1, the last day of the conference, so you can see the impact of our donors' support firsthand.
Your donation will strengthen our efforts to advance Alzheimer's care, support and research. From face-to-face support to online education programs and promising global research initiatives, your gift makes a difference in the lives of all those affected by Alzheimer's and other dementias in your community and across the world. Thank you for your continued support.
