June’s presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump was riddled with Trump’s lies and disinformation — and he went totally unchecked. Trump’s false and misleading statements only helped to deepen polarization of viewers. We can’t continue to allow candidates to spew disinformation unchecked on live television in front of the entire country. That’s why we are demanding live fact-checking for all future presidential debates.
