During my time in the legislature, I have delivered results to make Indiana a safer place for Hoosiers.

Results from the second quarter of 2024 are in from the Indiana Crime Guns Task Force. In quarter 2, the ICGTF removed 16 machine gun conversion devices from our streets. In 2023, more than 60 machine gun conversion devices were confiscated by law enforcement. I'm proud to have authored the 2023 law making these dangerous devices illegal.

This year, I passed a law to establish a Green Alert in Indiana. The Green Alert notifies law enforcement and the public when a missing person is a veteran. When a veteran goes missing, they are more likely to be experiencing a mental health crisis. This alert system allows law enforcement to approach the situation fully informed with an added sense of urgency. I am so proud to have gotten this lifesaving law on the books in Indiana.
