Right now, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is deteriorating rapidly. The latest reports show that 96% of the population faces high levels of food insecurity at least through September.

Can we count on you to make a gift right now to help us meet our goal and respond effectively to the crisis in Gaza and emergencies around the world?

We need a fully funded Humanitarian Response Fund in order to provide desperately-needed aid to Gaza and other countries facing dire humanitarian crises. We’ve made progress so far, but we’re still short of reaching our fundraising goal.

A gift right now will help deliver critical aid to people living through war, drought, natural disasters, and extreme hunger. Make a one-time gift to our Humanitarian Response Fund today.

Thank you for your swift action,

— The Mercy Corps team

Dear friend,

We’re at a moment of extraordinary need as the effects of climate change, conflicts, and economic instability compound crises for people across the world.

Large-scale humanitarian catastrophes unfolding in places like Gaza, Sudan, Haiti, and Ukraine have left children unsafe, destroyed livelihoods, and pushed millions of people to the brink of famine.

I’ve seen up close the impact our teams are making as we deliver critical humanitarian relief and support to families facing hunger, recovering from natural disasters, and working hard to create a resilient community for themselves and their children.

To meet this moment, Mercy Corps is launching a summer campaign to raise $80,ooo for our Humanitarian Response Fund that directs critical resources to our teams responding to humanitarian emergencies and crises in 40+ countries around the world. Will you make a gift today of $12 or more to fuel our work as we respond to those severely affected?

The Rafah offensive and ongoing military action across the Gaza strip have forced over a million Palestinians to flee into overcrowded areas that continue to face bombardment. Compounding the overcrowding is the oppressive summer heat, no access to clean water, and increasing exposure to garbage and sewage. Lena, a Mercy Corps’ team member, and her family are sheltering in a refugee camp in Nusairat. She shared these photos, saying, "There are no services and nowhere for the waste to go, so the piles keep growing. Mosquitoes are everywhere and have become a real public health concern. It has become completely unfit for human life."

After the invasion of Gaza began over nine months ago, Mercy Corps team members mobilized quickly to bring critical relief to families. Our access to the enclave has been limited, but we have been able to provide support to more than 160,500 people, including food, hygiene kits, and psychosocial support to families enduring the effects of conflict and displacement.

I’m proud of the work our team — many of whom are fighting for their own survival — has been able to do despite the limitations, but it is nowhere near enough aid for the more than 2 million Palestinians experiencing crisis levels of hunger. As the Vice President of Global Policy and Advocacy, I can assure you that Mercy Corps is committed to using our voice to advocate for a ceasefire and ensure sustained humanitarian access. We will not stop until the people of Gaza have what they need to survive this crisis.

As humanitarian needs continue to rise in Gaza and around the world, we all need to do our part to help families living through extraordinary challenges.

Will you make a gift of $12 or more to our Humanitarian Response Fund to help us be fully prepared to meet the needs of people facing crises across the globe?
