Indivisibles,

For the first five months of 2024, we ran a monthly education series
featuring incredible guest speakers focused on improving your ability to
hold persuasive conversations. Those events were so popular, and the
feedback was so positive, that we’re bringing it back with a new,
four-part series on an equally vital topic -- Apathy to Action: Building
Power to Save our Democracy.

[ [link removed] ]Join us for the first installment of our new Powering Progress
Education Series -- Protecting our Democracy: De-escalation & Bystander
Intervention Tactics on Wednesday, August 7 at 7pm ET/4pm PT.

Our world is divided across lines of difference. Whether it’s race,
ideology, socioeconomic background, religion, or any other number of
sensitive subject matters, bad actors have inflamed tensions, making it
more difficult to bridge gaps and bring people to our side. And in the
most extreme cases, those exchanges begin to turn heated -- making a tense
situation start to feel potentially dangerous.

So what do you do?

Come find out how to navigate the unexpected (and sometimes physical)
directions conversations can take. Learn the tactics you can use to
prevent escalation in the first place and the best ways to intervene when
it occurs. We’re excited to be able to provide you this training from
[ [link removed] ]Right to Be (formally known as Hollaback), so that you can continue
doing the work of having persuasive conversations with the knowledge to
keep yourself, and your fellow activists, safe.

This is the first installment of a new, four-part educational series we
will be rolling out soon. [ [link removed] ]Check this call series guide to keep up to
date on the future sessions, but don’t worry, we’ll make sure to send you
reminders as each one is scheduled. We can’t wait for you to learn more
about bystander intervention and de-escalation. They are invaluable tools
not just in your organizing work, but for life in general. [ [link removed] ]Join us on
Wednesday, August 7 at 7pm ET/4pm PT.
