Fearless Shepherd:
How Saint Charles Borromeo Fought the Deadly Virus in Milan
> Click to read the amazing story |
Dear
John xxxxxx,
There are Christ-like pastors who care about their flock…
and there are hirelings who run away from danger.
Saint Charles Borromeo was a true shepherd.
He did not run. He was fearless.
> And I’m sure his story will uplift, inspire and amaze you.
What would our society look like if we had more fearless pastors like Saint Charles Borromeo?
You see, at that time, many priests in Milan were in hiding, fearing the disease. Even among the holy Cardinal’s household, many fled.
However, St. Charles sent out a beautiful appeal to his absent priests, saying:
“We have only one life and we should spend it for Jesus Christ and souls, not as we wish, but at the time and in the way God wishes. It would show presumption and neglect of our duty and God’s service to fail to do this.”
> At this time of great uncertainly and urgent spiritual need, please share this post about Saint Charles Borromeo.
Please forward this email to your friends.
You and your family are in my prayers.
And, as always, thank you for fighting the good fight. |

Action Alert:
Fr. Martin Plans Pro-Homosexual Summit Against God’s Law
-- 37,410 people sign protest
Our readers write:
“I'm not sure if you can answer this question for me, but I honestly don't know who to ask... Why is this priest (Fr. Martin) still allowed to be a Catholic priest? I worry about our world... what it has come to and how much we are willing to offend Our Lord with our sins of convenience. These days everyone wants to start their own religion to suit their own agendas. I pray for the conversion of all of us sinners. I pray that we return to God and follow his ways. This world would be such a better place. Thank you for your ministry and labor of love. We need more people like you.”
-- Araceli G.
“The Jesuits have squandered their legacy as educators. They have secularized their institutions to a point where they are barely Catholic. Jesuit schools are a good place to lose your faith. Social justice trumps theology at Jesuit institutions.”
-- William M.
“… I am being raised in a liberal family. I used to be involved in all sorts of sinful things…. but have since turned to God and changed my ways. These [TFP Student Action] videos give me reason to believe there are people who share my opinions. Thank you!"

“I am so encouraged to see young men promoting chastity and true manhood and other tenets of our Catholic faith in today’s aggressively secular and lost world…
“These are difficult times for all of us and it’s frightening to think where the Church will be when this is all over. But it’s organizations like yours that many of us can rely on in keeping our moral compass pointed to true north, which is our one Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.
“…I will be following TFP, sharing your site with my students and donating to your cause when I can. Thank all of you for being true soldiers of Christ!"

“Dear TFP Student Action:
“My name is H... and I live in rural Montana, a.k.a. the 'middle of nowhere'. I have been watching your videos for a while now (often over and over again) because in this world full of lies, hatred and growing evil, it is extremely refreshing to see true men unashamedly standing up for the Truth, who is Christ Himself. I am so grateful to see that there really are men out there who are willing to stand at these front lines and preach the truth without any compromise, yet it is clear that it is with love that you do this.
"I am writing this, however, because it seems that the state of Montana is so devoid of any faith and needs a revival. It seems to me that rural areas are often overlooked, resulting in a lot of people falling asleep spiritually -- and that includes Catholics…
“The only reason I say this is to humbly ask that you would please not overlook the rural areas around the country with your campaigns. These areas are often spiritually dead and could use a little adversity to shake them out of their stupors and make them start to think about eternity and the morality of their own lives.
“I would of course love it if you could visit [our town] or even the university in Havre to campaign, but I realize that the situation right now is very complicated as what seems to be a chastisement spreads across the world. But I hope that you men of God will stand firm in your cause, and never stop standing up for Christ's Church. I like to show your videos to my brothers so that they can see what it is to be a real man in today's world. Please never stop! This godless world needs more courageous men like you.”
