Your campaign brief for June 21, 2024

This week, I highlighted the shamelessness with which the Democrat leaders summarily kicked Joe Biden out of the presidential race in favor of Kamala Harris, who is going through a dishonest rebranding as the left and their allies in the press try to reintroduce her to the country. I also joined my fellow veterans in Congress in responding to the Hamas sympathizers who tore down the American flag and burned it after Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to Congress.

We are witnessing the ruthlessness of the Democrat party establishment in real time. After three years of denying Joe Biden’s declining mental faculties, it was only when his performance presented an electoral problem for them that they decided to remove him. Once they made that decision, they did so with emotionless speed - crowning Kamala Harris as his replacement without a single primary vote cast. Now, the left’s entire apparatus - Hollywood, tech billionaires, the media - will switch into high gear over the next 100 days to do everything in their power to make sure Democrats win up and down the ballot.

We cannot let this discourage us from the fight ahead. We need people like you all-in now, because it is going to take every ounce of our time, energy, and resources to beat the machine we are now up against. That’s what I’m going to be doing between now and November - using my resources and time to help Republicans fight back and win up and down the ballot. That means sending money to candidates, fighting back against the left’s narratives with persuasive message, and traveling across the country to help conservatives win.

KAMALA HARRIS OWNS EVERY FAILURE OF THIS ADMINISTRATION

The majority of Americans - and clearly the highest levels of the Democrat party establishment - were ready to turn the page on Joe Biden’s failed presidency.
 
Unfortunately for the left, Kamala Harris does not represent that. 
 
As Vice President, Kamala Harris owns every single failure of the Biden-Harris administration. Her name is literally on the masthead of every disastrous policy, every bungled foreign policy decision, and every negative headline associated with this administration. 
 
Kamala Harris said she was the last person in the room before Joe Biden decided to withdrawal from Afghanistan with zero forethought to the operational disaster that would be. We lost 13 Americans as a result of the ensuing chaos. 
 
Kamala Harris was the deciding vote on “Inflation Reduction Act,” which ironically caused the worst inflation we’ve seen in decades. 
 
Kamala Harris repeatedly supported the Green New Deal, and espoused policies in the White House that kneecapped our energy production here in America. 
 
And, yes, Kamala Harris was given one specific task - leading the Biden-Harris Administration’s response to the border crisis, a role in which she failed spectacularly. More on that below.

DON'T LET THEM MEMORY HOLE BORDER CZAR KAMALA HARRIS

If you thought the media could not be more shameless in their water-carrying for the left, I have bad news for you. We are about to see a level of Orwellian coverage of Kamala Harris the likes of which we have never seen before over the next 100 days. We got a great taste of that this week. 

The press is falling all over themselves to deny that Kamala Harris was appointed as Joe Biden’s border czar. Axios ran an article this week claiming Harris never held that title, even though AXIOS REPORTED in 2021 that Kamala Harris was - in their own words - appointed the “border czar” by Joe Biden. 
 
Following the backlash, Axios then decided to go back to their story from three years ago when they called Kamala Harris the border czar, and scrubbed the language from that three-year-old story. I break it all down in the video above. 
 
Here are the facts:
 
Kamala Harris owns the crisis at our southern border. 
 
As the administration’s border czar, Kamala has only visited the border once - 1,125 days ago. And it wasn’t even the focal point. 
 
Under her “czardom” we’ve seen an unprecedented surge of illegal migrants and fentanyl pouring across our southern border, including known terrorists and criminals.
 
Kamala’s dereliction has led to the murders at the hands of illegal migrants, including:
 
    •    Laken Riley
    •    Mollie Tibbetts
    •    Kate Steinle
    •    Jocelyn Nungaray
    •    Rachel Morin
 
These girls and women, and many others, should be alive today. 
 
Kamala cannot ‘unburden what has been’ a catastrophe under her watch and she will not provide real leadership or serious action to secure our border and protect American lives.

HAMAS SYMPATHIZERS DON'T GET THE LAST WORD

After Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to Congress, deranged Hamas sympathizers felt the only proper response was to tear down the American flag at Union Station in Washington, D.C., burn our flag, and raise the Palestinian flag in its place.
 
I wasn’t about to let these people have the last word, so I went to Union Station that same night with my fellow veterans, the Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, and others to restore the American flag back to its proper place. 

I’ll add something quite touching I witnessed that night. After we raised the flags, a homeless woman who was camped out next to the flag poles stood up and started singing the National Anthem with her hand over her heart. She’s clearly going through hard times, to say the least. And yet she stood up and demonstrated her love of country at that moment. It was an amazing moment.
