- Hurricane Beryl knocked out the power in Houston for over a week, further exposing Texas Republicans’ failure to secure our energy grid.
- Donald Trump was the target of an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
- JD Vance was chosen as the Republican nominee for Vice President and Republicans held their convention in Milwaukee.
- President Biden dropped out of the 2024 campaign and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party’s new presidential nominee.
