Young people are borrowing insulin pumps, skipping hospital visits, and rationing potentially life saving medication because they just can’t afford not to.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

We shouldn’t have to live our lives terrified of unexpected medical costs.

We shouldn’t have to skip necessary medical treatment to pay for rent and groceries.

And we definitely shouldn’t have to put our lives on hold to take care of relatives who can’t afford professional caregivers.

The problem isn’t that we aren’t working hard enough. The system is the problem, and if we raise our voices, we can fix the system.
