Republicans are already souring on JD Vance
The choice of JD Vance is NOT going well for Team Trump two weeks in. It's obvious now that they did exactly zero vetting of Mr. Vance, who has been barraged with furious backlash from all the heinous things he said when he was trying to ingratiate himself with the extremely online fringe-far right "based groyper" crowd back in the 2010s, like his now infamous "childless cat ladies" quip or the assertion that childless families should pay MORE in taxes. “Find me one publicly elected official in the Senate who is pushing JD Vance other than Mike Lee,” complained a GOP lawmaker to POLITICO. Professional whiner Ben Shapiro publicly questioned whether Trump should have picked Vance, saying on his show: “If you had a time machine, if you go back two weeks, would [Trump] have picked JD Vance again? I doubt it.” Vance HAS already made history, but not in the good way — he's the first VP nominee to ever have a negative favorability rating after the party's convention. He's already having incredibly cringy "please clap"-esque moments on stage, like the viral Diet Mountain Dew incident and is also being pilloried online by completely baseless accusations of having carnal relations with a couch and jokes about a February Twitter post in which he shared a video of a woman being vigorously humped by a dolphin and boy did we hate having to type that sentence. GOP operative Chuck Coughlin conceded that Vance has had a "tough week...He’s Tucker Carlson’s boy right now, and that represents a certain segment of the base of the Republican Party. I just don’t see how that projects to somebody who can grow the base, particularly if he’s stumbling over his own words." Incredible work, guys, just really hitting it out of the park here.

The US economy is pulling off something historic
Guys. This is a BFD. The Biden administration has delivered a "soft landing" for the American people — which in normal people talk means "we brought inflation down without a recession." This has only happened ONCE before, during the 1990s. America is BOOMING. The economy expanded a robust 2.8% annualized rate in the second quarter. The GDP growth was much stronger than expected. Inflation continued to slide down towards that sweet sweet 2% goal. “Today’s GDP report makes clear we now have the strongest economy in the world,” President Joe Biden said in a statement. “The Vice President and I will keep fighting for America’s future — a future of promise and possibilities, of ordinary Americans doing extraordinary things.” Hear, hear!
JD Vance called for "federal response" to block women from traveling for abortions
It's so much worse than it sounds. Vance not only wanted to block women from travelling for abortions, but he pushed an absurd conspiracy theory in which George Soros sponsors abortion trips for Black women. “Ohio bans abortion in 2022, or let’s say 2024. And then, you know, every day George Soros sends a 747 to Columbus to load up disproportionately Black women to get them to go have abortions in California. And of course, the left will celebrate this as a victory for diversity – uh, that’s kind of creepy," said Vance. “And, and it’s like, if that happens, do you need some federal response to prevent it from happening? Because it’s really creepy. And I’m pretty sympathetic to that actually. So, you know, how hopefully we get to a point where Ohio bans abortion in California and the Soroses of the world respect it.” Uh, what's *actually* really creepy is this weird obsession with controlling women's bodies and floating deranged, anti-Semitic fantasies about abortion trips. We CANNOT let this weirdo anywhere near the White House.
