On Thursday, Lieutenant Governor Flanagan toured Whole Women's Health of Minnesota, an independent health care organization committed to providing holistic reproductive health care. Following the Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade in June 2022, Governor Walz and Lieutenant Governor Flanagan took executive action to protect reproductive health care services in Minnesota. Executive Order 22-16 protected people seeking or providing abortions in Minnesota from laws in other states. In January 2023, Governor Walz signed the Protect Reproductive Options (PRO) Act into law, establishing reproductive freedom as a fundamental right for every Minnesotan.
*"Across the country, folks look to our state as a safe haven for reproductive freedom. I’m grateful to independent clinics like Whole Women’s Health for helping our neighbors access the care they need,"* said Lieutenant Governor Flanagan.
