The Fiscal State of the Nation Act will require our nation’s Comptroller General to provide lawmakers with current, nonpartisan data on our federal government’s fiscal health to help them make fiscally responsible decisions.

The Improper Payments Transparency Act will increase reporting requirements to ensure lawmakers have comprehensive data on improper payments made by our federal government – $236 billion in such payments was reported for FY 2023 and we know this does not represent the full scale of the problem.

The Debt-to-GDP Transparency and Stabilization Act will require the president’s annual budget to include the debt-to-GDP ratio, providing context for the size of debt relative to our total economic output and our ability to pay it back.
