### **Ted Cruz Warns: Hunter Could Still Receive a Pardon**
In an interview on his popular podcast Verdict, Senator Ted Cruz sounded off about Republican complacency regarding the Democratic candidate for president, Kamala Harris. The Texas senator expressed concern that many within the party view Harris as unintelligent or unqualified due to their own biases against her.
Cruz remains optimistic about the chances of another term for incumbent President Donald J. Trump come election day. However, caution must prevail lest complacent attitudes ultimately prove self-fulfilling prophecies. As Cruz put it succinctly, "My message to republicans [is] don't behave like this is in the bag, because that's one of the easiest ways to ensure it's not in the bag."
Furthermore, Cruz went so far as predicting that current President Joe Biden intends to issue a full pardon to his troubled son Hunter prior to vacating the Oval Office. When questioned further, Cruz confidently declared there exists a "one hundred percent" probability of just such an event transpiring post-election. In fact, according to him, any earlier action from Biden could potentially harm democratic prospects at polls later this year. Instead, expect a calculated move sometime between then and January next year.
Besides, Biden promised not to issue a pardon. Harris did no such thing.
