John,
Cori Bush just launched her closing ad, featuring the family of Michael Brown, who was murdered by police officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson nearly 10 years ago. The ad exposes her primary opponent’s broken promises to Brown’s family and St. Louis as a whole.
The powerful ad sums this race up perfectly: Wesley Bell doesn’t care about St. Louis. Cori Bush does.
We know that if voters see this message, we can overcome AIPAC’s spending. But we can only do that if grassroots supporters like you chip in whatever you can.
When police officer Darren Wilson murdered 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson in 2014, calls for justice erupted. While Michael’s family was grieving, Bell was the St. Louis County Prosecutor and promised them he would pursue justice and bring reform.
He lied. Bell’s office failed to bring charges against Wilson.
Meanwhile, Cori Bush was on the frontlines of the movement for justice. Her courage then is why voters elected her to Congress, and she has proven time and time again that she refuses to back down to powerful interests.
Bell thinks he can lie and buy this seat with the help of millions of dollars from right-wing groups like AIPAC and its dark money super PACs. It’s up to us to show them that St. Louis is not for sale.
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
