I’ll be honest with you, Team: Asking for money is one of my least favorite things to do.

As someone who worked to pay my way through college, I know the value of a dollar.

I would rather spend my time sharing progress on our work to bring more jobs to Colorado, lower inflation, and protect our democracy — which is what we’ve been doing more in recent months too.

But with the Supreme Court’s decision in Citizens United, we’ve seen dark money flood into our elections like never before.

I’m proud to say that grassroots donations power our campaign — with an average donation of just $22.94 this year. Building a sustainable grassroots movement takes a lot of hard work to meet voters where they are. So whether you’ve donated, signed a petition, or just opened an email like today, thank you.

We have a lot of work to do to win this year. That starts with hitting our fundraising goals, especially with Coloradans receiving their ballots in less than 100 days.
