John,

Congressman Eliot Engel is a corporate Democrat who has spent over three
decades in Congress and in the pocket of Wall Street and big corporate
interests.

Engel is being primaried by DFA endorsed Jamaal Bowman — a progressive
champion and educator.

He is a lifelong New Yorker and champion for social justice. He’s the
founding principal of one of the best public middle schools in New York
City and ready to fight for the progressive change we need right now on
everything from Medicare for All and a Green New Deal to affordable
housing and ending mass incarceration.

Jamaal’s running a progressive campaign, not just on the issues but also
his strategy.

Powered by people and funded by small-dollar contributions, he's not just
focusing on reaching the same voters who always vote. He's working to
expand the electorate by registering, engaging, and mobilizing underserved
communities who's voters typically get left behind.

Now, he needs our support in this fight against a corporate candidate
owned by Wall Street.

Will you rush a contribution today to Jamaal Bowman and DFA to help elect
this bold progressive to Congress? Anything you can pitch in right now
will make a difference:

Our government isn’t working for low-income and working families across
the country. Electing the same politicians in the pocket of Wall Street
and big corporate interests isn’t going to bring about the change we need.

Jamaal Bowman spent his early childhood in public housing and has lived in
rent-controlled apartments.

He’s fought every day for the students, parents, and teachers of his
community while leading one of the best public schools in New York City.

He understands the progressive change we need and knows how to fight to
get it done.

If we’re going to make real change in this country, we have to replace
corporate Democrats with real progressives like Jamaal. Someone who will
fight every day for working people, not multinational corporations.

But this is going to be an uphill fight. Jamaal’s opponent has the backing
of the corporate establishment. That means Jamaal is going to need
overwhelming grassroots support to win this primary.

Rush a split contribution to Jamaal and DFA today. Let’s send this
progressive champion to Congress and get to work fighting for the change
we need:

Thank you for helping DFA support bold progressives like Jamaal. This is a
difficult time for people across the country, and it’s hard to spend time
thinking about elections while we’re all focused on keeping ourselves and
our families safe and healthy.

But by opening this email, pitching in to help elect progressives like
Jamaal, organizing in our communities, and making our voices heard we can
make real change for people across this country.

Thank you again for being a part of this team.
