I am going right out and saying it. My race will be important and from the indications of the first fundraising reports earlier this week-the race will begin to heat up and I'll need your support.
We have been named a 'race to watch' for in the Senate for the second election in a row! Five years ago, I was first elected to the Senate by 179 votes as a democrat. Last year, I was reelected by a slim and growing margin and helped to establish a large, bipartisan Senate Majority. This year, my seat is the only democratic one that is up for re-election in a district that heavily favors President Trump.
Every vote matters and we need to reach as many as we can with our message. Can you chip in $25, $50, $250 or more today to help boost our campaign through radio and social media?
I am the only professional and committed public servant in this race. I have been in Alaska’s legislature since 2007, and proudly serving in your Senate since 2018. I've frequently partnered with folks across the aisle, voting for adequate funding and good, common sense initiatives. I hope for us to put down our partisan blinders and really work together again in the next Legislature because we’ve had a lot of issues that need to be addressed. By working hard together and not caring who gets credit for the win a lot can get done.
