How IJM and its partner are breaking cycles of violence against women |
In Bolivia, 1 in 2 women experience physical or sexual violence at least once in their lifetime. And yet, between 2007-2016 only 7% of cases reached a verdict in court. In 2023, PROBOS, an interdisciplinary group trained by IJM achieved an outstanding 40 sentences. Through PROBOS, IJM continues to work tirelessly to achieve justice and empower survivors of violence. |

Peruvians police officers and volunteers learn to care for themselves and survivors |
IJM Peru and the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations organized a training program called "Caring for the User, Caring for the Caregiver." During these workshops, 47 participants learned how critical it is for them to manage stress through physical, mental, and emotional self-care as they provide sensitive support to victims of violence. |
