We have good news, [[FIRSTNAME/FRIEND]]: The Missouri Supreme Court has rejected Attorney General Andrew Bailey’s motion to prevent the Circuit Court of St. Louis County from hearing the DNA evidence that proves Marcellus Williams’ innocence.
This means Marcellus will have his scheduled hearing on Aug. 21, which is needed to consider the exculpatory evidence of his innocence.

This is a step in the right direction, [[FIRSTNAME/FRIEND]], but our work still isn't over. Marcellus Williams is still scheduled for execution on Sept. 24, only 34 days after his hearing.
Marcellus has been seeking to prove his innocence throughout the nearly-24 years he has spent on Missouri's death row. No court has considered the new DNA evidence.
