As a former single mother who knows what it’s like to be unhoused—and as the first Black woman elected to Congress from Missouri—Cori Bush is a desperately-needed voice in Washington. In Congress, she’s fighting for true justice and peace, at home and abroad — and, boy, does she fight.
Congresswoman Cori Bush is unbought, unafraid, and unbossed. She stands up for the people of St. Louis, even when it means standing alone.
Her leadership serves as an example to us all, and I have been proud to work alongside her in Congress to advance racial equity, reparative justice and economic justice, including ensuring that every person can afford to feed their families, put a roof over their heads, and access the health care they need.
I’m proud to stand with Leader Jeffries, Rep. Katherine Clark, Rep. Pete Aguilar, and other Democratic leaders in endorsing her. We need more women in office – especially women like Congresswoman Bush, who are willing to stand up against the status quo and fight against injustice with every tool at their disposal.
