This year, John, fair maps are on the line in so many elections around the country — but today we want to tell you about a race there that’s flying under the radar and needs our attention.
As part of our Democracy Defenders program, Attorney General Eric Holder has endorsed North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Allison Riggs for re-election.
She’s a former civil rights attorney who’s been a fair-minded, independent voice on the court — but of course MAGA conservatives are trying to unseat her this November.
Her challenger, Judge Jefferson Griffin, has proudly and boldly said that he wants to ensure there’s a Republican majority on the Supreme Court for the upcoming redistricting cycle.
Yup, he’s not even *trying* to hide that he wants to manipulate the maps.
And he recently signed onto a deeply controversial ruling that would have set a precedent for so-called “personhood” laws in North Carolina — which have led to abortion access restrictions and IVF bans in other states.
We have to stop this guy and extreme candidates running across the country. Can you rush a donation to the NDR PAC so we can ramp up our critical efforts in races like this one? [[link removed]]

We don’t need to be the ones to remind you just how bad gerrymandering has been in North Carolina over the last several years… but we will!
The newly conservative state supreme court majority wasted no time reversing recent court rulings on voting rights and rubber stamping some of the most egregiously gerrymandered maps in the country.
MAGA Republicans are counting on map manipulation to keep winning in North Carolina. We need to stop candidates like Judge Griffin and throw our full support behind Democracy Defenders who will work to end partisan gerrymandering — not publicly advocate for it.
So please, rush a donation to the NDR PAC right away to help win these critical elections up and down the ballot! [[link removed]]
Thank you,
NDR PAC HQ
