Rising from an enlisted soldier to a platoon leader in the 61st ADA Regiment in Korea He Joined the 32nd Army Air Defense Command leading the 6th ADA Brigade at Fort Bliss Texas and Fort Sill Oklahoma
He served as the Commandant of the U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery School.
He served as the Commanding General of the 32nd Army Air and Missile Defense Command at Fort Bliss from 2013 to 2015
