You may know me as the Governor of Georgia, but I’m also a father.
I’ve worn many hats throughout my life, but being a father to my three girls has been my favorite.
Which is why I will do whatever it takes to fight for our children’s future!
It’s not the government’s job to dictate to families the best educational choices for their children.
This week, I spoke out against the attacks that the U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona made about Georgia’s school voucher program that puts our students first.
These vouchers give parents the power to take their children out of low-performing schools and choose the best educational opportunities for their families.
I promised to put hardworking families first, and that’s what we’re going to continue to do!
More than 35 years ago, I started my first business with nothing but a pickup truck and a shovel.
Since taking office as Governor of Georgia in 2019, I’ve put hardworking Georgians and their families first!
We’ve championed legislation to cut taxes for working families, crack down on crime, end human trafficking, reform foster care and adoption, and support our students and educators.
When Georgia became the first state to reopen during the COVID-19 pandemic, I made sure we protected both lives and livelihoods. As a result, we’ve seen historic economic investment, and we’ve continued to lead the way in creating opportunities at every corner of the state.
And we’re not stopping there!
Marty, the girls, and I are working hard to ensure Georgia’s best days are ahead of us.
