New Customer Service Sites Open in Oldham
Oldham Council has opened two new customer service sites in the town centre, making it easier for you to access services. The new Customer Service Centre, Working for You @ Spindles, was officially opened by Cllr Peter Dean. This initiative aims to bring support hubs closer to communities, offering services like Citizens Advice and TOG Mind.

Additionally, Housing Options has moved temporarily to the Civic Centre near Rochdale Road reception.
This development is part of Oldham Council's plan to transform the town centre, which includes The moves are part of Oldham Council's transformation of Oldham town centre. Join Oldham’s walk to honour Rob Burrow
In memory of the late Rob Burrow, Oldham managing director Mike Ford and chairman Bill Quinn will join a sponsored walk from Boundary Park to the Crown Oil Arena. The Yeds Supporters Group is organising this event to raise money for motor neurone disease (MND) research.
Rob Burrow, a rugby league legend, battled MND since 2019 until his recent passing. He raised nearly £20 million for MND research and was awarded a CBE for his efforts.
The walk will take place on Sunday 28 July, the day of the Oldham vs. Rochdale match. Roughyeds will also hold seven bucket collections at Oldham’s remaining home games, aiming to raise £7,000 for MND Association.
To take part in the walk, there’s a £5 fee. To join or sponsor, visit [Yeds Group]([link removed]) or their [Facebook page]([link removed])

Oldham park tennis courts reopen after renovation
Six park tennis venues have been renovated at a total cost of £252,044, helping to ensure that quality facilities are available for the local community.
The park venues that were improved are in Alexandra Park, Chadderton Hall Park, Dunwood Park, High Crompton Park, Lower Memorial Park and Werneth Park.

Oldham Mumps - Rochdale Metrolink line update
Land movement near Derker has slowed down, allowing for detailed ground investigations and temporary repairs to begin.
To get the trams running again, a small section of track must be moved back to its original position, and overhead line poles need fixing. This complex work is expected to take up to five weeks, but TfGM is working to speed up the process.
Ground investigations will determine if more work is needed to strengthen the track foundations in the future.
Until repairs are complete, no trams will run between Rochdale Town Centre and Oldham Mumps. Trams will still operate between East Didsbury and Oldham Mumps, and a replacement bus service will run between Rochdale and Oldham.
