**Mid-Year Memo
Hey, John!
Welcome to our July newsletter! We hope this message finds you well as we head into the final months of this election season. We know it’s been a while since we were in your inbox, but our emails are back, and we cannot wait to share what the Alliance Network has been up to this year, look ahead into the Civic Holiday season, and catch up with y’all!
**Summer Network Update
This summer, the Alliance Network is offering a refreshing reminder of the power of youth action across the nation. Our Network has been active on multiple fronts—tirelessly protecting their communities against harmful bills and creating impactful engagement programs and opportunities.
In Wisconsin, Leaders Igniting Transformation is empowering and uplifting local young people and youth organizers through innovative summer leadership programs. Further south, MOVE Texas is gearing up for the November elections by expanding its team and resources to effectively inspire, educate, and register their community. Meanwhile, One APIA Nevada has already made significant strides in voter registrations with over 900 registrations, 2,000 voter pledges, and 37,000 door knocks.
Minnesota Youth Collective, New Hampshire Youth Movement, and New Era Colorado have all achieved major legislative wins for housing rights, voting rights, and tenants' rights in their respective sessions. They are now hosting listening sessions, calls to action, and voter registration drives to continue engaging with their communities.
Additionally, as part of some newer updates, Georgia Youth Justice Coalition is holding Cobb County School District accountable for discrimination against BIPOC and LGBTQ+ students, and Forward Montana has achieved a historic milestone by giving Montanans the ability to get out the vote for abortion access in November!

**Looking Ahead: Civic Holidays & November 2024
This past weekend, President Joe Biden announced that he will not be seeking re-election this year. As the leading network of youth-powered civic engagement organizations in the nation, the Alliance for Youth Action Network remains unwavering in its commitment to driving the highest historic youth voter turnout and ensuring that the issues that matter to young people are front and center in the debate over the future of our nation over the next three months. Our dedication to organizing and mobilizing young people to ensure their participation in the democratic process is stronger than ever.

As we approach the fall, several key civic holidays are on the horizon for us and the Alliance Network. As always, National Voter Registration Day is our biggest nonpartisan push to register, mobilize, and educate all eligible voters. We will be taking every opportunity to highlight and emphasize the amazing on-the-ground work that our Network is doing. Each of these civic holidays and engagement weeks provides a unique and vital chance to strengthen our democracy through participation, education, and a focus on the issues that matter to young people and everyone else in our communities. We’re extremely excited to see the creative ways the nation stays #VoteReady leading up to the 2024 Election.
