John,

In the midst of uncertainty, anxiety and fear, one thing that has helped me remain positive is to try to do one kind thing every single day. It can be big or small—the important thing is just to remember that we are all connected, that there is still so much good in the world, and that there are some things we can control.

If you missed Jimmy's message, I want to remind you that, right now, you can choose an act of kindness that will make a profound difference for a sick child in need of care and compassion.

As Children's Hospital Los Angeles confronts the COVID-19 crisis, your emergency donation will go twice as far thanks to a special matching gift from an anonymous donor.

Our goal to meet our $75,000 match is midnight tonight—and we're $13,854 from our goal. Please don't wait to make your emergency donation.

If you'd like to help but can't donate right now, visit our Ways to Give page. Saving lives is in everyone's hands—and, right now, there is truly something that everyone can do to help.

From all of us at CHLA, I thank you for your support and wish you and your family hope and health in this moment. I know that we are all doing what we can.

Warmest regards,

Paul

COVID-19 Emergency Response - Saving Lives Is Everyone's Responsibility

Dear John,

Like everyone else, coronavirus has had a big impact on my life. Instead of going into the studio every day, I've been fortunate enough to be able to work from home (I'm assuming that what I do qualifies as "work").

While I'm clearly not an essential worker, I know from firsthand experience that the awe-inspiring team at Children's Hospital Los Angeles is as essential as it gets. As the pandemic stretches their resources, they need our support now more than ever.

When my family needed their help, CHLA moved mountains to take care of us. Today, I'm asking you to join me in helping to take care of them.

Please, rush a special donation to the Children's Hospital Los Angeles COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund. Thanks to a generous match from an anonymous donor, your gift will be doubled, up to $75,000—going twice as far to pay for critically-needed protective gear for team members, testing for vulnerable kids, and to provide health care to the growing number of children whose parents have lost jobs and health insurance.

Give to the CHLA COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund

Nurses, doctors, patients and their families—many of whom are already at risk because of existing conditions—are in greater need than ever before. But I also know CHLA is stepping up to fight this with everything they've got. They're doing their best to meet increased need for technology, testing, supplies and more as a result of the pandemic. But they really need your support right now.

As the parent of a CHLA patient, I have great respect for the people who keep the hospital running and their patients safe. I can all-too-easily imagine what families who want desperately to be at their child's bedside—but don't want to endanger them—must be going through. It's heartbreaking.

Saving lives is everyone's responsibility. We may not be able to make COVID-19 go away, but we CAN help lessen the impact for vulnerable patients, the people who love them, and the medical team that shows up day-in and day-out to care for every child who comes through the doors at CHLA.

John, they need our help now, and that's why I'm asking everyone in our community who cares about kids to help. Will you join me in being there for them by making a donation now? They have a goal of raising $75,000 by midnight Thursday, and they need your help to do it.

Please give now to have your gift doubled.

Thank you for standing with CHLA and our community in this moment. There's no easy way through this—but I know we can get through it together.

Sincerely,
