Friend --

Our ballot access drive is truly reaching the final hours! In our quest to get 10,000 valid signatures we have over 11,000, and are expecting more over the next two weekends. We know that many signatures will be disqualified by the state's overly strict verification standards, so we have to stay locked in. You can still help by signing the petition and getting a few extra signatures on that sheet before you send it in, but deadlines are upon us. Click here to complete the form we will use to send you a petition sheet to sign and return to us in the mail. <[link removed]>

Please note the following deadlines:?

We will mail you petitions for you to sign and return by mail through July 27 (Saturday).?
We will e-mail you petitions for you to print at home and mail to us through July 29 (Monday).
Any petitions you have to mail to us must be placed in the mail by July 31.

We will be taking petitions to Annapolis to turn in to state officials on Monday, August 5. All petitions must be received by then!

We have professional signature gatherers working, but your last-minute donations will ensure they can work until the last possible minute. We will be collecting until the day they are due! Our amazing professionals have been working throughout the blazing July heat, and we want to support them as they finish up this task.?

Please contribute now to help us pay professionals for the next two weekends.? <[link removed]>

One more thing...

In order to put the Green Party's presumptive nominee Jill Stein <[link removed]> on the ballot, we have to make a last-minute adjustment to our party rules. Because the Green Party's Presidential Nominating Convention was moved to after the state's deadline for submitting nominations, we need to make a slight change to this year's procedures to allow us to submit paperwork earlier than was anticipated. (The same thing is happening with the Democratic Party in many states. <[link removed]>)

So, on July 23 we held a Special Assembly to approve an urgent change to our party rules. You can read the proposed rule change here, and request a ballot to vote on making this change. <[link removed]>?Our party rules require this to be approved by our members, and we believe in relying on democratic change rather than taking shortcuts. This vote will be open until July 30, and we hope you will help us make the changes needed to fully comply with state nomination procedures.??
