Nottinghamshire Pride is taking place this weekend, which will mean some road closures in the city centre.
During the Parade, which begins at 11am from the junction of Lister Gate and Castle Gate (outside M&S) and ends at Sneinton Market, there will be a number of road closures to facilitate safe crossings. A full list of road closures and approximate timings is provided here.
The closures will also affect some transport services in the city, including Nottingham City Transport and NET Tram. To ensure the event is as safe as possible for all attendees, the tram service from Nottingham Station to the Royal Centre will be suspended from 10.30am until 12.30pm. NCT buses that usually operate along any of the roads above will be subject to route diversions and timetable changes.
From July 2024, till summer 2025, National Highways are carrying out some work to repair a damaged bridge on the A52 at the QMC roundabout in Nottingham.
As well as replacing a beam, which was damaged when a lorry carrying an excavator hit it, they will divert utilities and re-waterproof the bridge.
Works will mainly take place overnight but lane closures will impact traffic in the area so please allow extra time for your journey.
