**Dallas Homelessness is Getting WORSE**
The City of Dallas has received
**over 1,000 reports in 30 days** [link removed] on its publicly accessible 311 website, which maps out complaints about vagrancy and other public nuisances. It has never been clearer that Dallas residents are sick and tired of their City Council ignoring the vagrancy problem.
Law-abiding citizens are speaking up to report criminals to the City; while the City woefully ignores them! More than 90% of all outstanding reports of vagrancy have been marked as "closed."
**Many of these "closed" reports have not been resolved, leaving Dallas residents with radio silence.??**
The Dallas Police Department (DPD) does not have the provisional capacity to deal with the current vagrancy crisis. DPD has been dealing with a persistent staffing shortage that has overseen the festering, chronic vagrancy and high crime. DPD must move from 3,000 to 4,000 active officers as soon as possible.
**The longer the Dallas City Council delays this, the more damage will be done.??**
**We need your help.** Call on the Dallas City Council to partner with DPD to stop the theft of public property that makes our city more dangerous. Crime is skyrocketing and allowing the vagrancy problem in Dallas to continue worsening spells more senseless deaths.
**Click the button to contact your City Council member and ask them to end the staffing shortage at DPD!**

**Dallas Police Investigating Multiple Weekend Murders** [link removed]
Police are investigating multiple murders that took place this weekend in Dallas. It is unacceptable for this to take place every weekend without fail. Make no mistake; this is a direct consequence of the DPD staffing shortage.
**The Dallas City Council needs to work on solutions ASAP!**

**Councilwoman Jaynie Schultz Not Running For Reelection** [link removed]
We say good riddance to Councilwoman Jaynie Schultz, who has announced that she is no longer running for reelection! Her bully tactics and complete disdain for her constituents will mark her legacy. We hope to see her replaced by someone who truly cares for their district and its safety.
**District 11 deserves a true advocate!**

Rising crime has a real price. The Dallas Morning News has been compiling the stories of every murder victim in Dallas this year. So far, we have seen over 100 victims since January.
**It is past time to put a stop to this horrible crisis and call on the City Council to fund DPD fully.**

**Tracking Illegal Camps:**

This week, Joseph went live on Harry Hines Boulevard, where he found a homeless encampment behind a local restaurant. This camp has been there for months now, and the city has not provided any relief for the restaurant owners.

**District 6 Councilman Omar Narvaez**
**"Bike Lane**
**??Camp"**
This camp in Omar Narvaez's District 6 has been dubbed "Bike Lane Camp." Are you missing a bike in Dallas? Chances are that it is under this overpass. This camp has around 10-15 vagrants and even had an active fire when this picture was taken.
**These bike parts were not legally acquired, and the City Council has not done enough to empower DPD to deal with these bike thieves.**
**District 2 Councilman Jesse Moreno**
**"Shady Shelter Camp"**
This camp in Jesse Moreno's District 2 has earned the title "Shady Shelter Camp." These tents are set up as a sort of homeless community here in the heart of the city. These sorts of camps are breeding grounds for many illicit activities.
**A decent City with proper leadership would not allow this to happen in broad daylight.**
**District 2 Councilman Jesse Moreno**
**"City Manager Special**
**??Camp"**
We named this camp in Jesse Moreno's District 2 "City Manager Special Camp." The proximity to Dallas City Hall makes the existence of this camp completely unacceptable. City leaders and stakeholders must face Dallas's vagrancy problem as they enter City Hall. They are ignoring the issue and refusing to clean up our streets.
**Interim City Manager Kim Tolbert has earned this view.**

**Mission Statement:**
Keep Dallas Safe exists to address crime and homelessness in Dallas with the goal of transforming Dallas into the safest large city in Texas for residents and businesses. We aim to have a City Council that prioritizes crime rate which directly determines the quality of life in Dallas. We do this by fighting against the "defund the police" movement, holding accountable our city leaders' efforts towards lowering district crime rates, and highlighting our city's homelessness problems by pushing for enforcement of the prohibition of urban camping.
