The Village's mosquito control contractor, Clarke, sprays the Village as needed to protect residents from mosquitoes and the viruses they carry.
Clarke uses a comprehensive program including mosquito population surveillance, larval control and adult mosquito control to minimize mosquito populations to prevent nuisance mosquitoes and suppress outbreaks of West Nile Virus. The program follows the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines and uses products registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Spraying begins at dusk when mosquitoes are most active and continues into the morning hours. Sign up for text or email alerts when spraying is scheduled in the Village.
