John, from the catastrophic flooding in Pakistan in 2022, to the Türkiye-Syria earthquakes in 2023, these last few years have presented many environmental threats to children’s lives.
Heading into the summer, tragedies like cyclones, floods, wildfires and more only get worse, increasing in both frequency and severity. These crises compound existing hardships like hunger, poverty and conflict. And when disaster strikes, we know children are affected most. That’s why we’re committed to doing everything we can to make childhood fair for all children.
But, despite the fact that we’re approaching this time of increasing need, fundraising tends to slow down in the summer months and especially during an election year. Since you’re dedicated to helping improve the lives of children, we wanted to give you a preview of our Summer Matching Gift Challenge: This year, we need to raise $200,000 so we can continue reaching children in places hit hardest by climate disasters, conflict, hunger and other crises.
And to help us get there, a group of generous donors has contributed to a matching fund that will DOUBLE every dollar you give.
With help from our supporters our teams are reaching children in crisis across the globe with the tools they need to build better and brighter futures.
They’re bringing lifesaving food, water and medicines to children in some of the world’s most remote places. They’re working around the clock to give children the support they need, not only to survive disasters when they strike, but to overcome them.
