I wanted to send a quick note because I think it’s important that you know
about the work I’m involved in to provide relief to families during these
uncertain times.

Last week, I introduced my VoteSafe Act to ensure no American would have
to decide between their right to vote and their health.

I also led 13 of my colleagues in urging Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin
to exempt checks being issued as part of the $2.2 trillion coronavirus
relief bill from being subjected to seizure by debt collectors.

This work is critically important, but it would be a lot easier if we had
more Democrats in the Senate to get the work done.

What’s clear right now is that the American people need relief amid this
crisis, not barriers.

However, Trump continues to deflect accountability at every turn to try to
hide his failure to prepare for the pandemic, but the lack of leadership
during this crisis falls squarely on his shoulders.

We need to take back the Senate this November so we can pass a legislative
agenda that will lift up Americans and ensure they have the support they
need during this crisis.
