Biden Meets Bibi

President Biden and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel put on pleasant faces and offered polite words on camera on Thursday as they opened a meeting at the White House at a fraught moment in their relationship with the future of the Middle East on the line, as the NYT reports.

Economic Growth Quickens

The U.S. economy accelerated in the second quarter as consumers increased their spending, businesses invested more in equipment and stocked inventories, and inflation cooled, as the WSJ reports.

North Korean Charges in Cyberattacks

A North Korean military intelligence operative has been indicted in a conspiracy to hack into American health care providers, NASA, U.S. military bases, and international entities, stealing sensitive information and installing ransomware to fund more attacks, as the AP reports.
