When she was Attorney General of California, Kamala appointed me to be California's independent watchdog over the Big Banks during the housing foreclosure crisis.
I have seen firsthand how Kamala fearlessly stands up for working people. Kamala understands that the real victory is making a difference in people's lives, not just securing wins on paper. That’s why I was honored when Kamala appointed me to enforce the foreclosure settlement and hold the Big Banks’ feet to the fire to help homeowners.
Kamala endorsed me on the first day of my campaign when I ran for Congress in 2018. I have been so grateful for her support over the many years. Now, I’m proud to strongly support her candidacy for President.
We must do everything we can to elect Democrats up and down the ballot who share our values. I have seen Kamala’s values firsthand and I know she will stand up for working families. Kamala is fearless, and she’s ready to lead as President. I wholeheartedly endorse her to be our Democratic nominee.
The work we do this first week will determine our success come November. The press and pundits want to gauge whether or not she has momentum out the gate.
