B Stands for Building the Center for the FutureGreetings,
Earlier this month, the National Immigration Forum released its 2024 Forum Update Report, [link removed] highlighting the work we have done and will continue to do for immigration reform. The report follows the theme of "Holding the Center Now, Building the Center for the Future."
As our continued polling [link removed] demonstrates, Americans want bipartisan and compassionate solutions for those seeking citizenship. Here at the Forum, we aspire to provide the materials and framework to keep these healthy conversations alive. Through our Bibles, Badges, and Business for Immigration Reform [link removed] program, we work to discuss how faith, law enforcement, and business leaders can advocate in their communities. We believe in grassroots and grasstops organizing which brings the voices of the American people to the forefront of these conversations.
The Forum Update Report [link removed] takes us through the past year, highlighting the work and accomplishments of our different constituency groups. Our organization continues to expand and spread its roots through American communities, making it clear that positive immigration reform is a top priority nationwide.??

The report spotlights work done by the Forum in 2023, including 58 fact sheets and bill summaries, over 350 Hill meetings, and more than 6,000 views of policy products via our website [link removed]. On top of that, the Law Enforcement Immigration Task Force [link removed] (LEITF) has grown to 153 Chiefs and Sheriffs representing 33 states.
Additionally, the Forum released its magazine "Dreamers STILL Waiting on a Permanent Solution". [link removed] It has been 23 years since the Dream Act was first introduced, and Dreamers are still waiting for a pathway to permanent citizenship. This magazine highlights the time that has passed since its first introduction through pop culture hits and references from the year 2001. We invite you to take this quiz, [link removed] to test your knowledge on Dreamers, the Dream Act, and 2001 references.
While the news can be discouraging, it is important to remember that communities like your own continue to strive for change. Our work from the past year is a testimony to the fact that the American people want change, and our communities are willing to put in the work to see it through. With continued help [link removed] from people like you, meaningful, bipartisan immigration reform will be possible.
Stay committed and hopeful,
Katie
