Jane and Nalleli spoke about their efforts to uphold California Senate Bill (SB) 1137, a law banning new oil drilling within 3,200 feet of communities and enforcing stricter health and safety standards for existing wells. Despite a relentless $61 million campaign by the oil industry to overturn the law, grassroots movements’ unwavering determination and unity prevailed! This victory is a testament to the resilience and power of collective advocacy.
