Over the last couple of months, our team has made a massive show of support to Democratic legislative nominees who will help break the GOP’s one-vote supermajority in Raleigh. Today, I’d like to take a few minutes of your time to introduce you to three North Carolina Democrats who we need to hold critical districts — because we won’t break the supermajority if we lose a single blue seat.

If you don’t need to read any further, you can go ahead and split a donation between our team and each of their campaigns here. [[link removed]]

John, as we’ve seen, Republican lawmakers are eager to roll back our most fundamental rights and enact radical legislation that is disastrous for North Carolina. A year ago, the GOP supermajority — aided by a Democrat who schemed to switch parties — passed a dangerous abortion ban, overriding my veto by just one vote.

To prevent the GOP from doing further harm, we must break the supermajority — and I want to introduce you to three candidates whose races are key to the fight. I also need to ask you to split a contribution among their campaigns and our team [[link removed]] to help them win their critical elections:

Lisa Grafstein represents Wake County’s Senate District 13 and is ready to defend her seat from the GOP this fall — but we all have to stand with her! Lisa is a committed advocate for civil rights and spent her legal career advocating for people with disabilities, workers, and anyone facing unfair treatment. As a public servant, Lisa knows that her first duty is to the people she represents, and she’s dedicated to solving the issues facing our communities. She will keep up the fight for our public schools, fundamental rights and freedoms, and democratic values when she wins her re-election with our help.

Terence Everitt has served in the state House since 2019 and is now running to keep Senate District 18 in Democratic hands. As a father, husband, and small business owner of his own law firm, he’s deeply enmeshed in the Wake Forest community. Terence’s wife, Jennifer, grew up in North Carolina, and they decided to move here together because they knew North Carolina would be a great place to raise their two kids. Terence is committed to making sure all NC children have access to the best possible education, that teachers have our support, and that small businesses have the resources to grow. He’ll fight to restore abortion rights, protect our environment, and keep our communities safe from the threat of gun violence. SD-18 is one of only a few swing districts in the Senate, so we know Republicans will target this race heavily. Terence needs our help to hold this key seat!

Woodson Bradley is deeply involved in her Mecklenburg County community as a business owner, volunteer, community advocate, and Democratic Precinct Chair. Now, she is the nominee to make sure Democrats hold Senate District 42. She’s also a wife and mom who is ready to put in the work so all our families can thrive. Woodson advocates for commonsense solutions to the issues that most affect our day-to-day lives. She’ll fight tirelessly for women’s rights, strong public schools, safer communities, and a robust economy. Together, we can send her to Raleigh to get to work for us!

I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished in my time as governor, but I know there’s so much more work to do. Our ability to create progress on the issues that matter most comes down to electing Democratic legislators we can count on. I know that Lisa, Terence, and Woodson will be strong advocates for making North Carolina a stronger state for all of us.

These three candidates and I are counting on your support right now. Please, split a donation of any size among our teams to help North Carolina Democrats break the supermajority! [[link removed]]

North Carolina is set to be one of the most important swing states in the 2024 elections.

Republicans need to win NC to return Donald Trump to the White House. Meanwhile, Roy is committed to flipping our state blue at the presidential level.

Roy is term-limited and can’t run again this time, and our upcoming gubernatorial election is considered the most competitive gubernatorial contest in the country. Meanwhile, Republicans hold a one-seat supermajority in the state legislature — we MUST break the supermajority to prevent the GOP from enacting their radical agenda in North Carolina.

Join Roy in the fight to elect Democrats at every level of the North Carolina ballot this November. Donate today. [[link removed]]
