John,
Yesterday was a dark day in DC: Benjamin Netanyahu addressed Congress during our joint session — I didn't attend.
Netanyahu is an International Court-accused war criminal, and I – like over 100 of my colleagues – couldn't stomach seeing Congress give him a platform to double-down on his extremist beliefs.
Yesterday was a slap in the face to the thousands of people demanding a permanent and immediate ceasefire, but I want to be clear:
Even in the face of backlash, or even of Netanyahu himself, my colleagues and I will remain steadfast in our calls for peace and diplomacy.
But being this outspoken has come with a cost. Conservative groups spent millions in dark money to unseat Jamaal Bowman, and now they're spending big to try to beat some of my other colleagues.
I'm more than ready to continue to advocate for important issues like this, but 2024 has shown we need a large grassroots coalition on our side. Will you donate to my campaign to help show these conservative groups that we won’t stop pushing for what’s right?
Thank you,
Congresswoman Delia Ramirez
