Hello John, it’s Congressman Jamie Raskin.

I’m writing to you because I believe in the IA Senate Dems’ mission. If you already agree, will you send in any amount today to support them in their mission to not only protect their incumbent Senators but also help down ballot progressives run successful breakthrough campaigns? >>

You may know me from my work in the House on the January 6 Select Committee and as the lead prosecutor in the second Senate impeachment trial of Donald Trump for inciting the insurrectionary January 6th attack on the Capitol. 

But I was a state Senator for ten years before I ran for Congress and I know what you can get done as a State Senator. As a Maryland State Senator, I participated in repeal of the death penalty, passage of marriage equality, restoring voting rights to former prisoners, enactment of medical marijuana and adoption of the first National Popular Vote Interstate Compact legislation. 

I recognize this same drive to make change for the best for their constituents in the great IA Democratic Senators.

John, downballot democrats are critical to stopping IA Republicans from passing their extremist agenda in Iowa, which is why we can't miss any opportunity to support true-blue Democrats up and down the ballot.

So it’s encouraging to learn that IA Senate Dems have been able to outraise their opponents by over $360,000 this year, a clear sign that most Iowans know who is right for their state’s future. 

But in order to accelerate this momentum you’ve helped build, we must all step up our support.

This year, Iowa Senate Dems have a real chance to protect all of their seats AND flip some new ones on their way to a majority.  I hope you will support them with a donation as they fight for the future of all Iowans – can I count on you to join me in doing that?
