Friend, [[link removed]]
As you probably know, it’s been a busy two weeks for Iowa Democrats with President Biden ending his presidential campaign and endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris.
Joe Biden has served our country and Iowans well by lowering the cost of prescription drugs like insulin and passing the largest infrastructure package this country has ever seen. While I am personally sad that President Biden has decided he is unable to continue the work he has started by running for a second term, I recognize that this action means Joe is telling us that it’s up to us to finish the job.
That’s why we’re enthusiastic about the future. We’ve seen a swell of support since Vice President Kamala Harris announced her campaign for the White House. Not only has Vice President Harris broken national fundraising numbers - here in Iowa, we’ve had a substantial number of people reach out asking to volunteer.
Iowans know what’s at stake this November. Our reproductive freedoms, our public schools, Social Security and Medicare, and our values are on the ballot. I’m proud to share that I will lead a united delegation in Chicago that will work relentlessly to elect more Democrats in Iowa and help get Kamala Harris elected as the next President of the United States.
I look forward to sharing more about our mission to elect Kamala Harris in the coming weeks. In the meantime, if you’d like to join us in helping Harris’s campaign, you can sign up to volunteer here: [link removed] [[link removed]]

Rita Hart

Plan Your Vote
In 2022, over 90,000 Democrats that voted in 2018 stayed home. This year, we have to do better. That’s why we’ve been laying the groundwork for the last sixteen months and now we are rolling out our program, iowademocrats.org/planyourvote [[link removed]] .
Research has shown the best way to increase turnout is by helping voters make a plan to vote - asking questions about whether they will vote by mail, early in-person, or on Election Day, what time they’ll go vote, how they will get to their polling place, and making it clear we appreciate that they are a reliable voter.
The Iowa Democratic Party is asking you to do your part by planning your vote at iowademocrats.org/planyourvote [[link removed]] .
