Dear John,
Once upon a time, there was a president who chose to nominate a lawyer to serve as the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Colorado's Senator Cory Gardner thought that it would be a great idea to confirm this lawyer to oversee the nation's healthcare systems.
One day, a virus made its way to the United States and the lawyer, now Secretary Azar, decided to wait weeks before letting the President know. When he realized that he could no longer keep this virus a secret, he spilled the beans with fine lies about also creating a robust testing infrastructure.
Before long, the Virus took over the country and thousands of people lost their lives, hundreds of people got sick and millions lost their jobs.
And, Alex Azar continued to sit happily, unqualifiedly, ever after in his fancy chair as Secretary of Health and Human Services.

By now, you realize this is not a real children's story, but more of a nightmare come true. This story is true and it was made possible because Cory Gardner voted to confirm a man who was incredibly unqualified to lead the country's healthcare systems. And today, we are paying the price.
I chose to run for U.S. Senate specifically because of the responsibility Senators have to hire the people who are charged with leading our national agencies.
I chose to run for U.S. Senate because I could no longer sit back and watch these programs and agencies that are supposed to support us as tax payers be systematically destroyed from the inside out.
I am running for U.S. Senate to make sure that we only hire well-qualified, experienced, rational, and people-centered leaders to lead our national agencies.
