Dear John,
Vice President Kamala Harris saw an outpouring of grassroots donations in the first 24 hours of her candidacy—one that smashed records and demonstrated that Democrats are enthusiastic about her prospects. But we know elections aren't won with just money. It's through people power and organizing that we convert that enthusiasm into votes, and we need YOU to continue building momentum. We need passionate supporters like you to volunteer in your communities and help us talk to surge voters—at their doors, on the phone, and by postcard—about how important it is for them to vote this November.
As we look ahead to the election in about 15 weeks, it is vital to recognize the significant impact the presidency has on shaping the future of our country, particularly when it comes to Supreme Court appointments and decisions. The next president will likely nominate two Supreme Court justices, and we've seen the impact of Trump's nominations.1 We are still living with the ramifications of those with every heartbreaking Supreme Court decision that guts reproductive rights, civil rights, environmental protections, and so much more.
This is a historic moment to get involved, and reaching out to surge voters is one of the best ways to make an impact during this election cycle. Only a few thousand votes in key states will help determine the results of the election, and surge voters, although inconsistent voters,
Help us reach surge voters for Vice President Kamala Harris for president and ensure that the Supreme Court reflects our values and principles moving forward.
Please consider signing up to host a postcard writing party or a phone bank today.
Thanks for all that you do.
