Hello,
I wanted to spend a few moments reflecting on President Joe Biden’s address to the nation. This is a longer, more personal message from me, but it would mean a lot if you read it to the end.
Throughout his lifetime of public service, Joe Biden has shown us what it means to wake up every morning wanting to help the American people.
We've felt the impact of his service, reflected in remarkable achievements over these last four years – the most accomplished president in modern history.
Joe Biden is truly one of the greatest statesmen of all time. From passing the most significant climate change legislation in the history of the world to passing the first gun safety law in 30 years and appointing the first Black woman to the Supreme Court, Joe Biden's dedication to our state and country has left a lasting legacy.
I also want to talk about the Joe I know personally. I've had the great fortune of knowing Joe Biden for over three decades.
Our families have always been there for each other in solidarity, in celebration, and in tragedy. When my husband unexpectedly passed, when my sister suffered a stroke, when Dad died, the President was always one of the first to call and express his condolences. I call him the Comforter-in-Chief because of his empathy and compassion for every person.
I’m truly grateful to have worked alongside Joe, especially as co-chair of his 2020 campaign for President and re-election.
As Democrats, it’s up to us to carry forward his legacy – starting with uniting behind Kamala Harris as the Democratic presidential nominee.
So team, will you commit to protecting our democracy by chipping in any amount today? Your grassroots support is crucial to winning the White House and defending our Senate majority from Donald Trump’s MAGA agenda.
