I am just about to board Air Force 2 where I'll be joining the First Lady of the United States, Dr. Jill Biden and the official delegation representing the United States in Paris for the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games.
The goal of this trip is to continue aggressively preparing our city to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2028 and ensuring that Angelenos benefit from the preparation for the Games, as well as in the decades following, is a top priority for my Administration.
Over the next few days we will take advantage of this unique event by meeting with stakeholders from all over the world to help assist small businesses, create local jobs and create lasting environmental and transportation improvements around the 2028 Games.

While we prepare to welcome the world, I know that together, we will showcase Los Angeles – not just the popular tourist destinations, but each of our beautiful neighborhoods and communities.
