I'm writing to share a historic moment in our organization's journey! Last night, during our Emergency Member Meeting on the Presidential Election, we took a monumental step forward together.

Over 100+ of our Florida Rising dues-paying members participated and cast a historic vote to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee for President of the United States! 

This endorsement is a transitional moment for all of us. It underscores our collective ability to influence the presidential landscape and shape the future of Florida's communities.

In the wise words of our Chief Advocacy & Political Officer, Moné Holder, "Elections and voting for the right person, have deep consequences, as we learned when Donald Trump was elected in 2016. Electing Vice President Kamala Harris is the ultimate demise of Trump and his attempt to replicate the fascist movement in the United States.” 

Florida has a significant opportunity to change the trajectory of this election. We believe Vice President Harris embodies the leadership needed to uphold our values of freedom, solidarity, and justice on every block.
