*Rent Registry Opens*
LA County Rent Registry flyer [ [link removed] ]

If you own rental properties or mobilehome parks in unincorporated LA County, it?s time to complete your Rent Registry 2024-25 registration. The *LA County Rent Registry [ [link removed] ]?*is an easy-to-use online portal where you can register your rental units, update information, and pay annual fees required by the County?s Rent Stabilization Ordinances.

*Who Needs to Register?* Landlords and mobilehome park owners who rent out units, rooms, or mobilehome spaces must register annually. Some properties ? like owner-occupied or single family homes ? may be exempt, so check the LA County Rent Registry website or contact them to find out if your property qualifies.

*How to Register:*


* Visit?Rent Registry [ [link removed] ]
* Use your Property Identification Number (PIN) to find your property.
* Update your contact, property, and unit information.
* Submit your registration.

You can also register and pay your fees in person or by mail. Be sure to register by September 30 to avoid late fees.

*Not a Landlord? No Problem!* If you occupy your property as your primary residence, you?re exempt from registration. Email them at *[email protected]* to let them know and they?ll take you out of the system. But if you ever do rent, you?ll have to let them know (and register).

**Keeping Cool During Excessive Heat**

Public Health reminds everyone to take precautions to avoid heat-related illness, especially older adults, young children, pregnant people, outdoor workers, athletes, and those with a chronic medical condition who are more at risk for negative health impacts from extreme heat.

County and City partners have planned ways to safely operate cooling centers during times of high heat. Residents who do not have access to air conditioning are encouraged to take advantage of these free cooling centers, splash pads, and community pools.
