Team, it's Wendy with Team Kaptur. Here's an update on what's happened over the past week, and how it impacts Marcy's race here in Northern Ohio. 

1. Donald Trump selected Ohio Senator, JD Vance - who once said Trump might be "America's Hitler" - as his running mate. 
2. The RNC hosted their convention and with Vance on the ticket made it clear that Ohio is a key part to their plans for the fall.
3. Over the weekend, Joe Biden stepped down from the presidential ticket and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris. 

We know that's a lot, but here are two things that haven't changed:

1. Marcy is one of just FIVE Democrats who won in a Trump district in 2022. 
2. The GOP and their dark-money buddies are still pouring millions into smear campaigns against Marcy to try to flip this seat and expand their House majority.
