We’re in challenging times - and I hope that you’re managing to keep safe. If the lockdown is stopping you from getting the dose of nature you need - I feel the same. Everyone needs to follow the government guidelines, but we want to give you a way to connect to nature that doesn’t put others at risk.

So, we’re hosting a Facebook watch party for our series Ocean Witness, bringing you the most magical moments of our voyage from the Arctic to the Antarctic - and to introduce you to unique animals that live there! Join us in the ocean at 5pm on Sunday.

We’ll be joined by our resident oceans expert to answer any questions you’d like to ask about oceans in the comments of the video - so tell your family and friends to get involved too.

The series also looks at the threats to the oceans, and tells us exactly what we can do to save them. Because industrial fishing, climate breakdown, and plastic pollution are putting the oceans at risk.

The UN negotiations for a Global Ocean Treaty that can help protect huge parts of our oceans have been postponed because of the global pandemic. But when the talks do go ahead, they’ll provide a huge opportunity to create a network of marine reserves that protects 30% of global oceans. Thank you for being part of a global movement to protect oceans, we’ll be in touch very shortly asking for your help to protect our blue planet.
