The July Job Accommodation Network (JAN) newsletter is available on their website. JAN is a free service for employers to find various accommodations for their employees with disabilities. JAN has been expanding their database of accommodations since the 1980s. They also have Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) information and experts who can answer questions about the ADA and accommodations.
The July edition of the JAN Newsletter focuses on accommodating workers with known limitations due to pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions. For people who are pregnant who are working age, job accommodations may be key to success in the workplace. JAN offers resources to help, including topical publications and A to Z accommodation ideas at AskJAN.org and free one-on-one consultations.
